I'm in NYC, and I haven't been able to find one at any store, not even for display!

I'm not surprised. I was in Times Square the night of the PS3 launch, where people were backed up for blocks, in the rain, to not get one. I was so surprised to find one anywhere near a big city. I mean, in the middle of oklahoma, sure, but in Scottsdale - I didn't expect that.

Can't find them in Lousiana,either, not that that's any big loss. The graphics on the system are truly spectacular and the game line-up is pretty cool, but who in their right mind is going to pay that kind of money for a game system? I think Sony really missed the mark on this one.

I have regularly bumped into them at Target, Best Buy and EB Games...of course, I never see a Wii despite their more plentiful shipments. Word is the PS3s are not as hot an item as Sony might have hoped (see the sales figures in Japan for instance). Could it be the ridiculous $600 price tag and the lack of decent games?

My nephew got a Wii for Christmas and we played that stupid thing for days afterwards (just the standard games that come with the console). I've been trying to locate one ever since with no luck (nearly a month now!). I literally call or visit local electronics stores every day to no avail, but I hear that quantities are supposed to stabalize in late Feb or early March. If you want a Wii now, your only alternative is to buy one at a premium from internet scalpers (I've seen them selling for over $1,000). I was happy to see that some on-line sellers are lowering their prices, though. You can get one from a seller on Amazon for about $350. Also, my local EB Games dealer indicated that when they get stock, they seem to be getting more and more with each shipment (they just never know when they're coming). Hopefully, this is a good sign.

Actually most of all the video game stores in mesa have ps3's available and my buddies that work at fry's electronics say that they can't push those ps3's out. People won't buy them. =\

I don't care about it I got my wii60 (wii + xbox 3600) combo and I'm more than happy with Gears of War and Zelda

I also saw a stack at the Best Buys in Superstition Springs (Mesa) on Tuesday night. I got mine on a whim at Walmart on Christmas Eve. Other than that, you couldn't find one anywhere because of lack of shipments. Now it seems the shipments are here but the initial demand is low. I love my PS3 (60GB) and the whole family loves the Wii (managed to pre-order mine with EB Games, so we've been playing since the launch). I think the lack of games definitely hurts, but let's see what happens as more games come out. I'm sure the price will also drop come June -- especially if the sales numbers don't come up. Has anybody seen any PS3s in different colors --e.g. silver console?
